Performed comprehensive occupied space renovations to 32 units with minimal disruption to their senior residents

Zachau was proud to partner with a leader in affordable housing to transform three forty-year-old low-income housing properties into the suite of efficient, modern spaces their senior residents now enjoy. Avesta Housing’s $1.5M occupied space project included a complete exterior envelope upgrade of 32 units located in seven buildings spread across two separate campuses. Work included installation of new insulation, siding, roofing, and windows, as well as the creation of three complete ADA handicap units. Infrastructure improvements were also done to upgrade mechanical and electrical systems and to enhance the site’s grounds as well. The completed collection of private, comfortable, low-barrier apartments earned both the approval of Golden Park Maple’s residents and Avesta’s 2016 Property of the Year Award.
